Our history

Our story begins in 1981 in Florence, on the initiative of Prof. Leonardo Masotti and one of his best students, the engineer Gabriele Clementi. Over the years, thanks to constant research and development, we have specialised in the production of a wide family of laser devices in the medical, industrial, and cultural heritage restoration fields.

1981
El.En. S.n.c. is born, producing CO2 laser systems for dermatology, surgery, and laser therapy.
1990 - 1993
Establishment of the companies Deka M.E.L.A. S.r.l., Lasit S.r.l. and Cutlite Penta S.r.l.
2000
El.En. S.p.A. is listed on the Milan Stock Exchange
2002
Acquisition of the US company Cynosure Inc.
2003
Acquisition of the German company Asclepion Laser Technologies GmbH
2004
Acquisition of the company Quanta System S.p.A.
2005
Acquisition of the company ASA S.r.l. Listing of Cynosure Inc. on Nasdaq
2007
Incorporation of the Chinese company Penta Laser (Wuhan) Co. Ltd, of Cutlite do Brasil Ltda and acquisition of the Japanese subsidiary With Us Co. Ltd as a distribution company.
2009
Incorporation of the company Esthelogue s.r.l. and of the Japanese company Deka Japan
2013
Incorporation of the second JV in China: Penta Laser Equipment (Wenzhou) Co. Ltd
2017
The Italian subsidiaries Deka M.E.L.A. and Quanta System give birth to the Renaissance project, as a commercial brand for the Italian market
2019
Incorporation of the third Chinese JV, Penta Laser Technology (Shandong) Co., Ltd. Acquisition of the company Giovanni Galli S.r.l.
2020
Asclepion Family distributes the products Asclepion, Quanta System and Deka in the DACH area, replicating the Renaissance® model launched in Italy. The products of Asclepion join the product portfolio of Renaissance® for the Italian market
2021
In Poland, the subsidiary Lasit incorporates the company Lasit Laser Polska owned by 65% On the occasion of its 40th anniversary, El.En. changes its logo: El.En. - The Future in a Beam
2022
In Spain, the subsidiary Lasit incorporates the company Lasit Laser Iberica owned by 65% The subsidiary Penta Laser Zhejiang acquires 60% of KBF Laser Tech Co
2023
El.En. continues its virtuous path launching on the medical market the “PRO” Line and a new set of sources and industrial components.
